General Summary:

This direct sales position is responsible for increasing iGHANA's customer base and promoting growth in revenue by presenting iGHANA's products and services to existing and potential customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Prospects new clientele on a daily basis to identify potential new customers that could benefit from iGHANA's products and services.
    a. Performs telemarketing and cold calls; contacts referrals to qualify sales leads.
    b. Attends trade shows and other business community functions to obtain potential sales leads.
    c. Develops and provides prospecting activity documentation to manager on a weekly basis.
  2. Meets with decision-maker (initial interview) and conducts sales presentations to develop rapport and recommend iGHANA’s business.
    a. Gathers and evaluates business details to determine business needs/wants.
    b. Identifies and priotizes potential applications of iGhana's business products (or services) to address prospects’ internet needs.
    c. Reviews the proposal with the decision-maker to ensure iGHANA's business solutions are clearly communicated and understood.
    d. Maintains expert knowledge of iGHANA's products affirming prospect’s commitment to IGHANA
    e. Maintains a high level of professionalism in all situations, at all times.
  3. Processes paperwork to provide documentation of sales and to ensure a smooth transition to IGHANA service for all customers.
    a. Completes all contracts required, dependent on services sold, with the decision-maker.
    b. Completes and submits an iGHANA Credit Approval Request form, along with the appropriate documentation, to the Credit Department for credit approval.
    c. Delivers the required documentation to the Account Manager for completion.
  4. Communicates with the Marketing department to ensure that all available collateral materials are effective as sales tools.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.*

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of the systems, products and services of the company.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of the company’s business objectives and goals.
  3. Skill in customer relations, such as the ability to respond with sensitivity and a sense of urgency to customer needs or requests.
  4. Skill in planning and organizing action steps to achieve desired results.
  5. Skill in basic math to perform simple equations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
  6. Skill in prospecting such as identifying and contacting possible customers.
  7. Skill in selling by implementing a sales plan, including identifying a target market through closing the sale.
  8. Ability to be flexible by adapting decisions or actions to facilitate the most productive work environment.
  9. Demonstrates professional oral and written communication skills.
  10. Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
  11. Ability to identify, prioritize and respond to multiple and conflicting crises.
  12. Ability to present information to diverse audiences in diverse settings.
  13. Ability to create a strong, positive presence to provide leadership, credibility and confidence to an audience.
  14. Ability to set an example for other team members in the areas of personal character, commitment and work habits.
  15. Ability to influence others in a consultative, non-manipulative manner.
  16. Ability to be self-resilient and maintain a positive self-image in stressful conditions.

Experience

  1. 4-7 years sales experience, preferably in the telecom industry.
